Delighted to win an award with Wedisson for this sparkler image at Irnham Hall. Captured by Roxy is a Peterborough wedding photographer but travels Nationwide. Not far from me however is the stunning Irnham Hall which offers the most beautiful grounds for relaxed wedding portraits.

Wedding photographer Peterborough captures a sparkler image at the beautiful Irnham Hall

Sparkler shots are tricky to take well but her are my top tips:

Don’t wait until it’s totally dark, a little ambient light helps!

Use long sparklers.

Buy enough sparklers for two each or more.

Have LOTS of lighters available to light the sparklers as quickly as possible.

Walk slowly down a tunnel of sparklers and stop halfway for a kiss, wave your sparklers or hold them in the air! Staying stationary for a moment helps your photographer get a photo in low light!

Hold two sparklers each for extra light

Always check with your venue that sparklers are allowed and consider health and safety by having a bucket of sand ready for disposal.

Take your veil off if wearing for the sparklers.

Consider using smoke bombs at the same time as your sparklers for an extra individual wow factor!
