I didn’t used to be a photographer! I have however worked with newborns for my whole entire career, having spent almost ten years as a midwife before this. This means that not only can you trust me to handle your baby with the utmost care and professionalism, but I can also give you free breastfeeding or bottle feeding advice. Not only was I a midwife but I spent 6 months as a feeding coordinator covering for absence. This, alongside breastfeeding all three of my boys means I can offer you support, a shoulder to cry on and all the knowledge Ive picked up over nearly 20 years of supporting Mums in one capacity or another.
I come to your home, bringing blankets for portraits and using well lit corners of your home create memories for you to cherish in the comfort and safe surroundings of your home. This means if you are still recovering from your birth, you needn’t worry about getting in the car or feeling tired, have a relax on your sofa if you like! Whilst I love to capture parents in the photos, you are not needed for all the images as we can create snoozy portraits too (the best way to get these is when your baby is less that two weeks old! The baby in these photos was exactly two weeks old in these).
Although I live in Cambridgeshire, I do travel for newborn portraits around the surrounding counties of Norfolk, Suffolk Leicestershire, Bedfordshire, Lincolnshire and Northamptonshire. Just speak to me about travel fees for these areas additional to the photo session pricing which can be found here.
I am here to provide the most complete service I can whilst creating memories for you to hold on to and cherish as a family.
Not just a newborn photographer, the definition of a midwife means ‘with woman’ and I still hold that principle so very dear to me.
