I ADORE Holmewood Hall, it is truly up there with potentially my favourite venue gardens. I often say to couple that there are so many backdrops here that it would be impossible to use every single one on your wedding day, unless you wanted to spend every second taking photographs! Whilst I wouldn’t mind taking ages to take your couple photographs, you may want to actually talk to your guests at some point…which I am guessing you will.
The small village of Holme in Cambridgeshire is actually my home village! This is why I know the grounds here and how the light hits differently in every season. Whilst I don’t think it’s essential to have a photographer who knows the venue (more on this here), it certainly means that I can travel the 5 mins to you without having to worry about getting stuck in any traffic.
This venue is so local to me that I could walk…but my kit is a little heavy to choose to do that!
Some of my favourite spots in the gardens include by the fountain, over on the hill at sunset and in the trees. In around twenty minutes you can cover most spots in the gardens and have a wonderful selection of couple portraits to choose from and perhaps display in your home.
